Cold Fusion

I have a quick question. Has anyone heard anything about the "Cold Fusion" DDR2 800 memory?

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...162&CatId=2261

I found them for a decent price and want to get some input on them. Just wondering if i should bother with them or just get some ballistix or buffalo firestix or XMS2 or something.

also, found these OCZ ATI ram. Was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about these.

or slightly loser timings for $20 less

timings are not really that much looser.

I already looked at the G.Skill ram. I want to try something else that still has the micron chips and these do.

G.Skill

Mushkin

GeIL

Im not even going to bother with the Firestix, their so backordered, if I tried to get some now, I wouldn't get them for months. And I can afford dominators so...

there is not alot of ram out there with D9's like they use to be. those gskill hz no longer have D9's either.
check the ram list here:
http://ramlist.ath.cx/ddr2/

only reason why people go for D9's cause they are the most sought after ic's.
now in my case i thought my 6400-c4's were D9's which is why i bought them. they are in fact promos ic's and did this oc with just 2.3v
http://www.ocforums.com/showpost.php...postcount=1203
they dont get hot like the D9 ic's with high speed/volts.

the ram i posted with oc more then you prolly need. those elp. ic's oc about 50-100mhz slower then d9's. then i read depending on the mobo D9's dont clock the same as on other boards even for the same chipset.

if you want true d9's just to say you have them then you need to go here
