Ok, so I am finnaly going to upgrade. I have about 3k to use, lol.

HDD - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16822136033 (2nd Raptor)

New Power Supply (my current one only has one Sata Cable, the other Sata Ports blew out, its modular) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817153043

Core 2 Quad (is this a good choice for gaming??) - http://www.newegg.com/product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819115017

New ram - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145043

Mobo - (Any other recomendations for high end mobos that are great OC'ers??) http://www.newegg.com/product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813188013

Video Card - eVGA 8800 GTS 640mb X 2 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130071

I have some questions regarding the CPU. I am a gamer most of the time when it comes to my computer, so I was wondeirng if the Quad Core is the right way to go. Thing is I want to have the future proof aspect, and its just a matter of time before the Multi Core requiring games come chugging along, like Alan Wake , among alot of others already coming. I know Quad Cores as of now dont perform as good as a high speed Dual Core in games, but its not like they barely run them, and I will be OC'n anyways, so will it matter?? Another reason for the Quad is I just like having the best of the best stuff.( I know the extreme version is the best but you know what I mean)

Also, Im pretty sure the 850W PSU will be enough, but what do you guys think?? Im gonna be running the 2 raptors in RAID 0 and 2 200Gb Maxtor Sata drives in RAID 0 also.

Also, any Case suggestions?? I love my current case Its damn well capable on the cooling and space side, but I just want something new now. So any sugestions should be able to compete with the cooling in my current case wich has 8 120mm Fans and 1 80. Not saying it has to have that many fans, but it has to have good cooling capabilities. I love the CM Stacker 830, but theres alot of quarks with it I here. Another case is the Lian Li V2000BPlus http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112062 But I dont know how good the cooling would be with a system like the one im putting together.

Thanks for any input. :)

I think the quad core and raptors are great.

I would go for a different power supply though. I suggest the PC Power & Cooling unit posted above. I have had a couple bad experiences with Thermaltake power supplies, I don't trust them anymore.

The RAM, I would go for Crucial Ballistix instead. The Ballistix are priced much better than the Dominators and are crazy overclockers as well.

The motherboard, the 680i is OK but if it was up to me I would go for the Intel Bad Axe 2. I'm not going to offer any real justification here though, I just don't really trust the latest nVidia chipsets as I hear too many problems about them.

Dual 8800GTS? mm I would say that is pretty overkill, I would just get one or get a 8800GTX and upgrade that later.

The case, get the Stacker 830! I am simply in love with that case, it is my dream case. You can also set up a nice water cooling system with the budget you are running. The Stacker 830 is a great case whether you are going to go air or water.

Awsome!! Thank you for the advice!!! :)

The dual GTS's is something I really want to do, I know its overkill, but with all my computers, I always stay right under the uber side at the high end side, and I just want for once to go over to the uber side for a bit. hehe.

About the Stacker 830, does the tooless design for the drives work good?? Cause my current case is so god damn simple when adding HDD and CD drives. I just cant settle for less and I here the Stakcer ones dont work that great?? And, it seems like the Mobo area is alot smaller than a Full Tower should be. EDIT: Another thing is the HDD cage isnt facing outward and I really like this on my case, it just kinda urks me.

Also, the 680i Mobos I here nothing but good news about, especially the eVGA one is supposed to be an awsome OC'er. But again, if anyone knows beyond a shadow of a doubt a better one that OC's better, has better options, etc and about 250 -300 bucks please let me know.

I wish I had some money to be uber.

I don't own a Stacker 830 but I have seen it in person many times. Space is definetely not an issue with this case! It is incredibly spacious inside and will fit any motherboard just fine, not to worry! My friend says it is the best and EASIEST case he has ever worked with. It just looks damn sleek and it stands out from the crowd.

It does look sick as hell. But Im not just soncerned about mobo space, I dont want to be stuffing my hands behind things and in out of spaces when everything is in there. Everything I read says its a Midtower hiding inside a full tower body, because it has less psace inside than most Full towers.

I would definetely not agree with that sentiment. This thing is really extremely large!
Hey don't take my word for it, check out if any of the computer stores near your house have one on display or something. Look at any of the stackers, they are spacious indeed. If you truly have a gripe on it though than there are many other cases out there.

If you decide to go with the Crucial Ballistix, check out the prices on mwave.
They have Newegg owned on Crucial prices.:)

Edit: Crucial Ballistix 2x1g at mwave= ddr2/1000=$171--ddr2/1066=$199

Actually you can get the Crucial Ballistix DDR2 1000 for $155 on Newegg AR shipped.
Just use the code CRUCIAL2GB420 in checkout and fill out and send the rebate form. :)

I always stick with Corsairs. There Dominators are tried and true for OC'n. STill working on getting the pefect setup. I have made some changes to my initial list. Advice and recomendations are still very welcome. I believe Im gonna stick with a Dual Core because I want to OC and i know for OC'n a Quad you need a water setup, correct? And im not ready for water right now, and knowing that its not a true Quad Core kinda gets at me.
