Hiper Type-R 580W Power Rating

My brother has this PSU and is looking to get an 8800GTS, more specifically, this one.

He is concerned will it not have enough juice in the 12v rail for this behemoth. He wants to upgrade his GPU but doesn't want to have to get a new PSU. I dug around and only found specs that say it has a combined power of 30A combined. Will this work with his dual rails only rated at 20 and 18A?

I used to have that PSU, till i went over to Antec, That,ll be fine for that 8800GTS. I'm running a BFG 640MB OC on 500W and runs perfectly

That should be plenty for a gts.
