Best gpu in the $200-$250 range is??

I'm just curious-if you had a $200-$250 range set for a new gpu, what do you think would be the best one to get?

I have a sapphire x800gto2 right now-I still need to unlock its pipelines, and overclock it, but I know there are better gpus out there for the $200-$250 budget range.
I want to be able to play the new line of games that will be coming out and have the gpu be able to play games for up to a max of 2+ years before replacing it again. My present gpu can play games that are out--but the graphics I would like to be improved.

So whatcha guys think?

For another $50 you can get an 8800GTS! But if budget is tight...

Take your pick: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...esc=PCI&Page=1

Ya I'm using a ATI right now-I'm a old school fan of ati cards--but thats only because I was "raised" on them, I would like to give nvidia a try for my next purchase.
If I had to upgrade anything it would def. be the gpu+some more ddr2 1 or 2 gig stick, and maybe the cpu.

You should put your specs in your sig so people know what you have to play with.

If you are primarily gaming 2GB of RAM is not really necessary, 1GB is enough, unless you are running Vista. But 2GB is nice to have. Makes my rig VERY snappy on XP SP2 But I need it for RAM hog Adobe CS2.

I would go for the GPU first. 7950GT is an awesome DX9 card. You will play games you played before, in awe
