Talking Brisbane 3600 OC'ed, comments?

YAY!

Got a 3600+ to OC at 311x9 = 2800Mhz @ 1.425V

(RAM at 533 divider = 800Mhz effective.)

With stock HSF running at 48*C full load, folding 24/7

Just picked up a Thermaltake Freezer 64 Pro for $28... not installed yet, any comments to where I should go from here? Stick with these numbers or go higher?

wow that's pretty awesome for a $70 cpu.

you should spend $30 on an aftermarket heatsink...3ghz for $100 would be sweet.

*edit* LOOL....i just read the last line of your post. you are way ahead of me.

Installed it over the weekend...

The AC HSF does have LOTS OF EXCESSIVE paste on the copper block (came pre-applied) but after i let it sit overnight (no power, just really sat there flat over night) and a lot of it oozes out from all 4 sides. I estimate the oozed out paste can fully satisfy another 4 CPUs LOL

Ran prime95 (two cores at once) for 2 hrs, no error. Max temp now 42*C versus 48*C from before!

Will try OCing a bit more...

Arctic Silver might help drop those temps another 2-3 degrees

There is a TT Freezer 64 Pro?
You do mean ARCTIC Freezer 64 Pro right? If so, I do too and it is great.

It came with the Artic MX-1 so the AS stuff doesn't make a difference...

At least that's what I read in techPowerUp here:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/A...Freezer64Pro/4

but then again, there's LOTS of the MX-1 oozing out, you think maybe scraping off a little can help, since too thick a layer is bad?

Why don't you run the 9.5 default multi, that way you don't need as high of an HTT speed to get higher clocks. On most AM2 board 316HTT is a lot easier thatn 333.

wow 3.0G! What temps are you running? What are your HTT and NB and RAM volts?

I am worried about the summer here... it gets up to 38*C ambient plus global warming...
