How much heat is my comp emitting?

So as you can tell from the sig.. I'm still running a AXP system and i have a crt. I was wondering, what puts out more heat, the monitor or the tower? sometimes it gets toasty in my room and was wondering if my computer really puts out that much heat (a/c is set at 80 but everywhere else in the house feels pretty comfy). and will getting a lcd and upgrading mobo/cpu/videocard help? (I'm gonna do it anyways) haha this seems ridiculous but im just curious.

I tend to find that the CRT puts off either same as the tower, or just a tad more. So turning the CRT off will help cut it.

BTW how the hell is 80 comfy? I keep my room at 66-68
