Matrix Raid and Sata DVDRW/CDRW?

I can't find the answer to this one.

Is anyone hear using Matrix Raid and a sata DVDRW/CDRW? I was thinking that the hard drives are connected to sata ports 1 & 2 and that the sata DVDRW/CDRW is on ports 3 or 4.

I wanted to put IDE devices on the Jmircon controller (But if I can't I can live with that).

After reading Godman's ungodly (pun intended) ordeal with his Abit Quad GT I am starting to wonder. Godman is much more experienced and more intelligent than myself and if he is having problems...

matrix raid here on ports 1 and 2.
my lite-on sata dvd burner is on port 4.
jmicron disabled in bios.
works just fine
