I know this has been asked many times but I still can't seem to figure it out.
PC5400 memory is 333mhz. Now can this memory run at 666mhz when used in a dual channel configuration without altering its base latency?
And, can this same memory run at 333mhz in a dual channel configuration with its base latency CAS reduced from say 5 to 2.5?
Specifically, CPUZ reports on a p4 940 3.2ghz:
Core: 4159 mhz
Multi: x16
Bus: 260 mhz
FSB: 1040 mhz
Memory
Freq: 433
FSBRAM 3:5
Is it ok for my memory frequency (433mhz) to be above the maximum allowed (333mhz) even though the FSB is 1040mhz?
