Post your Battery life

I've been reading around and seeing how Intel is really screwing up the mobile platform because with each iteration it gets more power hungry. Eg Centrino Pro consumes up to 30% more power than the comparable Centrino duo platform. Vista also doesn't help in this battle due to the Aero interface and poor power handling. I want to see how well things are scaling. Post your specs, Battery cell size, battery life and operating system.

My laptop is a Lenovo T60P with WinXP pro.
It's got a T2500, FireGL V5200 1GB RAM and a 100gig 7200RPM HDD.
14.1 LCD (1400x1050).

I get about 5:40 with the 9 cell, settings on max battery life and just surfing around with WiFi on.

That seems like a good amount of time. My msi notebook would get around 3 hrs of dvd time on a 6-cell battery.
I have no idea what the everex in my sig would get, defiantly not good, lol.
I thought the T60P used Santa Rosa?

I have the Dell D420 in my sig. I'm not sure about the processor number, buts a core duo 1.2Ghz. It's got a 6 cell battery and XP SP2. At medium backlight with the wi-fi and blue tooth off and doing word processing/excel and what not I can get about 5:30 hours out of it. With full brightness and wi-fi on playing WoW, I get somewhere in the neighborhood of 3:15 to 3:30 from a full charge and not quite 4 hours just surfing the net with WiFi on. The brightness level and WiFi make a HUGE difference on the bettery life.

My hp tablet gets around 3 hrs of anime off on my viewsonic TV, and 6ish if Im taking notes in class, wifi off.
filling in this forum post, it reports 3:33 left and ive been Up here 45 odd minutes already.
Also depends if in inking or not. the wacom will use more cpu than just typing. So, ld say an average of 4 hours. not bad for a secondhand machine and battery.

TC 4200, Dothan 740, 1.5gb,6 cell battery

The T61 Thinkpad uses Santa Rosa the T60P just uses Napa. It's not so bad but having a 12pipe X1600/FGL V5200 makes the 14 incher hot hot hot.

Man the Sager 9860 is a sexy beast. I love those things I one day would like to get one to replace my desktop and keep a TP as a mobile notebook.

For the guys who posted their battery life do you guys use any utilities like RM Clock, NHC, ATI power playm etc? I noticed that using RMClock that my idle power drops much more than without and I also use TPFan Control to control my fans, using that reduces another 2 watts of power usage by dropping the fan speed.

Compaq V2000 as seen in sig, 6 Cell battey (possibly 8, but 6 iirc), I get about an hour and a half with full brightness with OpenOffice running, wireless disabled.

I got about 2.75 hours when I was running Ubuntu with the same setup, however I couldn't get the wireless to work, hence reverting to Windows.

Impressive for a laptop that's not using a P-M and using Descrete Gfx. Actually it's damn impressive for a laptop.
