Man they must be desperate to try anything to sell them huh I suppose it's a good package for the price they charge. Wonder if it'll be everywhere since this is happening game shops in the Uk will do there own bundles of movies as Blu-Ray is getting a big collection in my local games shops.

They once had 3 small cardboard stands worth of James Bond Casino Royal in store they never shifted. I read today there out selling Wii & 360 in Austrailia so that's not bad for them only the whole of Europe and America to go.

By the way how is it selling in the US anyways how many units have been shifted since it's launch.

The Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) has revealed an exciting offer for those of you who are still looking to pick up a Blu-ray player. If you purchase a Blu-ray player (including the PS3) between July 1st and September 30th, you will automatically qualify to receive 5 Blu-ray movies absolutely free

As Fudge said it's not to sell PS3 units, infact it is not even put out by Sony and works with any Blu-Ray player. It's a good deal and I am pretty sad I missed out on it. I was actually thinking of taking back my PS3 using the in-store warranty as I believe Wal-Mart usually reprints a fresh receipt when an item is replaced, not really sure though.

Casino Royal is actually one of the fastest selling next gen DVD disks to date. As for number of units, world wide it is 5.5Million (Sold to retailers believed, as that is how Microsoft and Nintendo count their total sales) with around 1.5-2 going to America consumers. Europe sales are kept pretty private for all systems so a total on that is unknown, but when the numbers were leaked the PS3 was outselling the X360. Impossible really to tell however if that has kept up.

He mentioned the movie so I was responding to that. Those numbers I gave however are all for the PS3 not the movie. So I was referring to the console also.

The MUST HAVE Blu-Ray is "Planet Earth" (also avail on HD DVD). This documentary is simply stunning on 1080p. I dont know if this will qualify under the program though, as its an expensive 4 disc box set.

Also worth grabbing is Pirates 1 and 2, Blood Diamond, and Terminator 2.

None of those titles qualify; only a select titles are applicable.

Something tells me, with the way PS3 sales are going, they might offer a free PS3 with the purchase of 5 blu-ray movies in the not so distant future :D

It's not that bad. It's actually picking up steam, just not enough to catch the 360 or Wii for years if ever.
