Problems installing WMP54G v4.1 on Ubuntu...

Hi everyone,

Just bought the WMP54G not knowing there was a v4.1 out, and unfortunately that's what was in the box when I got it. This card doesn't work out of the box, and I'm having a hard time getting it installed. I downloaded the proper drivers (Ralink's RT61) and went through the installation instructions in the Read Me file but I get errors where it won't compile or something?

Anyone have experience with this card, I need to get it working soon. Ubuntu's forums were not helpful as my posts have not been answered.

*BTW* I'm on Feisty Fawn, I know it makes a difference.

try ndiswrapper

I've never used it so I can't offer you much support but most people have to use it to get their wireless cards working.

I've never installed tis card but I did find this. It's for Debian but Ubuntu is based on Debian so the instructions should adapt.

I could be wrong but I believe that this is a winmodem, which spells trouble.
