Can anyone tell me the diff?

They have the DX for 299 at circuit city and I have a 110 dollar gift card with them that I can use. so It would bring down the card's price down a good amount. newegg and everyone else has the 'AR' for about the same price (after shipping and all)

Thinking about going and getting the DX one from circuit city today

EDIT: talked to someone who called evga. The DX just indicates what retailer the card comes from according to him/evga

bahhh I just found out DX memory clock is 1350 and AR is 1600

still a 8800 though, especially when I get it for 100 bux less, it sounds like a good deal

Other website says though that the shader clock speed is 1350 on the DX, the AR has a 1200 hader

I just picked up this card yesterday. Stock clocks are 500/1600, just like the Evga web site says for the non-Superclocked board.

I'm delighted with mine I'm getting 650 core and 2020 memory -- well above the Superclocked board.

I wanted to revive this thread. Does anyone know how much of a difference in performance you would see between the AR and the DX? Going from a 1600MHz memory clock on the AR to a 1200MHz clock on the DX seems like a pretty big drop.

The stock clocks on my DX from Circuit City are: 513/792 (1584).

I don't know where this 1200 number is coming from, but it appears to be wrong unless my DX is special.

BTW, overclocks to 648/1026 (2052) without drama.
