I installed the latest DirectX June edition. Then I installed a game that forced me an older DirectX version 9.0C.
What version do I run now?

When it asks if you want to install the DX9 of the games disk just say no cause you already have it installed and a updated version the game should still work.

In this game it didn't work, if I hit no, the install would close.

The DX install should always occur at the end of a game install. You can just hit no. However, even if you hit yes, it won't do anything. It'll check the version number and if you have a newer DX installed, the old one won't install over it.
