What you guys think I should get

I have an Antec SX 1030 SOHO File server case and I want to install in it an ASUS P5B-E and a Intel E4300 CPU in it. I've got 1 Lite-On burner and an old Pionner DVD drive. As for the video card, don't know yet, that question will go in the video cards section of this forum. I do LOTS of video compressing and OC the E4300 will happen for sure. Since my Antec 300W PSU never had a problem for the past 5 years, I started looking first at Antec, like the SP-500 Smartpower. But do I REALLY need to replace it? Or what you guys think I should get for a PSU?

Thx....

Yeah you will probably need to replace it. Whats your budget for a PSU?

If you're getting an 8800GTX or 2900XT, then buy something else, like a Seasonic 380/430/550. If not, you'll probably be fine.

Personally, I'd buy a new one anyway because I don't like the non-Seasonic Antecs, but it's really your choice.

I would second the vote for Seasonic. I just got the 430 as part of a new build (Biostar 7025, Brisbane 3600, OCZ 2GB Plats). Quiet is more important to me than overwhelming watts. The Corsair 520/620 (Seasonic OEM) also get good marks.

p.s. I have the SmartPower 500. Loud when things get warm.

edit: has a small fan that turns on when warm.

Budget! Humm, 100$ or so. I'm gonna blow close to 600$ for this major upgrade. BTW, is there a standard in PSU's? I mean, is any brand will actually fit in my case? I like my HUGE case, don't want to replace that also.

F1,

I agree with the comments above. The choice of power supply will have a lot to do with your choice of video card, you can plan for that now by buying "more" or wait until you decide on your video card.

Keep away from the Antec Smart Power and True Power series power supplies, they have "issues." Their Earth Watts are much better. You won't need a "bear" of a power supply to run what you want even with an 8800 or 2900 series video card.

You have to decide if you like modulars or not, personally I do. A $100 budget will get you good quality and reliable. Check out poster's sigs, it will tell you a lot about what we use and prefer.
