2407 Price cut again soon???

I remember the price on the 2407's being as low as $579 during May/June, but I haven't seen them drop it from the current $679 (seeing as only the HC model is all that's available now). Will there be another price drop anytime soon or will I have to hold out on getting my 24" monitor for another few months AGAIN. If there's another one that's cheaper and better please post it here as well.

It was never 1200. It debuted at 950, which I foolishly paid for my first one, and it came out in June.

I've seen the Samsung 245 in person, the viewing angles are terrible. It actually inverts colors at a certain angle. Would definitely not recommend it unless you are on a REALLY tight budget and only need DVI and VGA (there aren't any other inputs).

**UPDATE**

Just got off the phone with Dell, the agent for the small business customer support was very nice (and was in the USA O.o), I asked him what he could do to knock off the $679 base price (since the $609 sale ended yesterday), was able to get that sale price attatched anyway, so a brand new Dell 2407WFP-HC on it's way here ($639.45 w/ free S&H + Tax). I would love to see the real difference between the HC version and the standard 2407. Note: it is an A04 revision model, however all specs point towards 1080i on component as opposed to 1080p O.o I'm only running a Wii through the component connection so that really isn't an issue, I just hope I can get the full 1920x1200 stream through VGA for my Xbox 360. Will post pics when it arrives (est: ~Aug 6th, same time my Vostro 1500 should be here O.o: http://www.ocforums.com/showpost.php...&postcount=18).

I have an A03 non HC, and mine only does 1080i on component, as well as vga. I'd be interested in a comparison as well, maybe we can both take some pics for comparison. Anyways, I'm sure you'll love the monitor, I've had mine since it was released.

Will the A04s do 1080p over the VGA??? And I'll let you know when I get it for pic comparisons (got a 8.1mp Casio that should do the trick ^^).

I can't say 100%, but I often use my 2407 A03's VGA input for secondary PC's at full 1920x1200 resolution, and the PC's is obviosuly spitting out a Progressive signal. Works fine for me, so I'd assume the A04 also accepts 1080P (1920x1200 from a PC)...

Save the links/files for any pics you take as a test, I'm still interested in comparing.

DHL guy screwed up big time, here's the story: I stayed at a friend's house wednesday night, and went home thursday morning at 730 in case the DHL guy decided to come early. On the way home I smelled antifreeze coming from my car, and sure enough my 98' Taurus has once again had another coolant issue (blew a hose for the first time a little over a year ago), so I was trapped at my house as of 730am. Between then and 5pm, I had: FedEx, UPS, a guy from the lumber yard in a boom-truck delivering the lumber for my new deck, the AAA guy who came to get my car, the delivery guy from a local pizza shop, and finally the friend I stayed with last night, come down my driveway in a vehicle. I was home ALL DAY, there wasn't anyone else who came to my door. I got sick of waiting as of 5pm (called wednesday after I missed him the first time and asked if they could ship it in the morn, gave a BS excuse too, and even though I knew they wouldn't do it, it was the thought that I asked to have an early delivery and they had yet to deliver it at 5pm that kinda ticked me off), so I checked online to see what the deal was, and to my amazement saw this: "Delivery Attempt: Recipient Not Home". I was like "WTF?!?!?!" Called them up and tore the head off of their supervisor. The only thing I was able to do: get the driver written up (he didn't even go to the right house, they have GPS's, how can you screw that up?!?!?!) and told that "we will have it on the first shipment out tomorrow morning" (yeah, thats what you said wednesday night, then it never showed up :P). So, no pics till tomorrow Mr. Roboto But, good news is my boss called and said that I can have tomorrow off as well (I worked wednesday, the other four days I had off, looks like I'm gunna have a swell paycheck next friday), so I'll have LOTS of pics for ya.

Ah, sorry man. I hate DHL. They delivered a package of mine to me neighbors by mistake. I also hate my neighbors, because it took them a week to give me the box. Meanwhile, I had no idea this happened, and my tracking number said delivered, so I went back and forth with them for that week wondering where the hell m y package was.

Well, they screwed it up AGAIN this morning, cuz apparently they only try twice to deliver to homes, so I just went to the warehouse myself and got it (hope this same BS doesn't happen when my laptop gets shipped next week). But, I did get it this morning, and I took some pics and made a review: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.p...46#post5175846. Peace.
