PC Upgrade

Hi all...

im in the process of upgrading my pc and have two options for a CPU

Either a dual or quad core...

with my budget i can afford a expensive dual core (3ghz?) or a cheap quad core (2.16?)

What would be a better buy?

I intend to multi task media (music/video) run karaoke, use cuebase (or other music studio software), and play computer games...

You may benefit from a quad core, check out the Q6600, it is 2.4GHz stock and has come down in price recently.

for A/V use no dought go with a Quad core.

If your going intel and have the funds theres no reason to not go quad. You will be set for the next few years with any quadcore really.
