Well, I've recently purchased a system which is pretty powerful, will be replacing the E6700 with a Q6600 in a few weeks, but other than that, it's a damn good system.

Specs of it are in my signature, and for the purpose of my problem I will be explaining, I've reverted everything back to stock to try to isolate the problem if I could. That means the 6700 is running at 2.66Ghz, and my RAM is at 4-4-4-12.

I've ran Orthos and memtest both for 20+ hours and have gotten exactly 0 errors with either.

I have 2 games at my disposal that can relatively push any kind of demand on my system. They are the game the VGA card came with, Company of Heroes, and GRAW 2. Company of Heroes plays just fine although, I think I only played it for maybe 20 minutes.

In GRAW 2 however, I've been experiencing lock ups which cause me to hard reboot my system. It doesn't BSOD, it just freezes. I have 2 monitors set up so I can monitor temperatures on the second monitor. I've also tested with just 1 monitor to see if it didn't like the 2 monitors running, and it still crashed. Based on my readings, my CPU cores never even hit 55C on max load inside of GRAW2. Whether that actually is max load is moot, that is as hot as GRAW2 can make it. As for my 8800 GTX, I've seen its core reach as hot as 84C. However, at this temp, the fan is still only running 70-75% because these cards can run much much hotter. It should be able to handle 84C just fine.

At first, I thought it was my VGA card overheating, that was why I decided to monitor those temps. In the beginning it would freeze up at 76/77C almost at that exact moment every time so it made me think the hardware in the VGA was failing prematurely. However, now it can get up to 83/84C and doesn't seem overstressed really, so I've kind of decided that the VGA is okay.

I then thought maybe my RAM was overheating (in my sig). They do have a heat spreader on them and they get very very warm. I think this is normal though. They have the Micron d9's in them, so it's a damn good set of sticks.

I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed, just released on July 26th, the 162.12's or something. Still have problems.

The lastest crash produced these errors in my System log.

@ T=0 First: Error code 10000050, parameter1 ff89d60a, parameter2 00000001, parameter3 bf8a533b, parameter4 00000000.

@ T=14sec Second: Error code 0000009c, parameter1 00000000, parameter2 bab3c050, parameter3 b2000040, parameter4 00000800.

@ T=17sec Third: Error code 0000009c, parameter1 00000000, parameter2 8054d5f0, parameter3 b2000040, parameter4 00000800.

T is just going to be the relative time they all happen apart from each other.

Based on these symptoms, do people think it is just a buggy GRAW 2? Or should I be worried something in my system isn't up to spec. I have no way of testing anything in a different PC unfortunately :-/. Thanks for any help.
