so i recently built a system for a friend and benchmarked his memory bandwidth, and it suprised me, being at nearly 8.3gb/s. It was two sticks of Super Talent PC6400 DDR2 800 ram, at 4-4-3-8, 1t command. I have 2gigs of G.Skill, DDR2 800 PC6400 at 4-4-3-5 and even at 1t, it barely reaches 6.3gb/s. Now his system is AMD (athlong 64 x2 5200) and mine is Intel (c2d e6600), his chipset is of the nvidia 500 series and mine is of the nvidia 600 series...

but srsly the board I picked out for him was a budget $50 biostar...do AMDs generally put out higher memory bandwidth due to the Hyper Transport or on-die memory controller or something? Or was that Super Talent ram just that amazing?
