Looking for a monitor, help appreciated

Hi guys, I'm looking for something, and I'm not really sure where to start.

I want a new LCD Widescreen monitor for my computer, but I also want it to replace my television. I really don't like Tv-Cards, as I find the lag unbearable, and I use Linux, so compatibility is always an issue with them; so it would be great if there were a way a monitor could support tv natively. Any ideas? Thanks.

find a LCD HDTV that has DVI or even VGA input, and you should be able to use it as a computer monitor. the only problem you would have to deal with in this case is audio. since dvi/vga only carry the picture signal, you'll have to route audio from your sound card to whatever speakers you happen to be using
