I plan on doing a bit of OC, not much. maybe 200-600mhz MAX

well imma have o ask since its very vague. what cpu,ram,psu,video? what is that the fsb you want or the extra speed on the cpu you want?

I think i'm going with the E6550, Crucial ballistix 2gb ddr2 800. and using my old ati x1800xt until better dx10 cards come out. And I have no idea about FSB.. heh, I just want to get the e6550 to around maybe 2.8-3.0 max..

then yea go with a p35 based mobo and your good. if your straped for cash look at the gigabyte P35-DS3L board its under $100.

Thanks. Do you know any info on the evga 650i? I posted on a seperate forum, and everyone there suggests that one instead.. as a budget board.
But i'm also worried about the "you get what you pay for" thing lol

well you have a ATI card so i dought you want to run a NV chipset. besides the 650i doesnt oc to the level the P35 does. thats about it really i mean if your just going to run stock then either will do. here is the board i was talking about though

Thanks for the input, I guess i'll see , and about the ATI card, does the chipset affect it's performance? I had a 6800 running on a ATI chipset board along with and amd before. Didnt really see anything diff.
