LOTR BFME2...recycled net code

I wish EA would put a warning label on their games when they recycle poor netcode from the likes of CC Generals. It would have saved me 50 bucks on CC3 and now 60 on 3 copies of LOTR Battle for Middle Earth 2.

Can't join any games with my bro and father using hamachi. I got worried seeing the EXACT same multiplayer interface and network options and sure enough...encounter the same crap.

Am I overreacting and this is a hamachi thing? Finding help with that is near useless as their forums are barely populated.

I swear Firewalls/Routers and opening a million ports in hopes of enjoying games is so annoying nowadays.

If anyone uses hamachi regularly and can help me out, that would be great. Thanks.

***EDIT-Trying older 1011 version of hamachi. Can join games, but we have to play the stupid "hurry up and select race and launch bullcrap" before someone drops from the game.
