Geforce $100 to $150

I just got a dimension 8400 and found out the graphic card sucks. Its a radeon x300 where you can get from ebay for $5. I plan to upgrade to a better graphic card in the $100 to $150. My old machines has 6600GT 256mb and other 6800GT 128mb AGP which were not compatible. I am looking for new geforce graphic card so I can retired my 5 year old computer. I plan to play some new game like company of heros, battlefields... Here are questions; which is the economic graphic card that I can easily overclock and be on the games? I am planning to get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127284 Is any suggestions that are better or faster than this card? Thanks!

Well it depends if the dell PSU is upto powering a 8600.(low mid rangedx10) I'd get a X1950(high range DX9)

I'm facing a similar problem. According the THW's vga comparison charts, there's a whole slew of cards that outperform the 8600GTS. Most of them are DX9 though. I'm still trying to decide if DX10 is worth it. The only advice I have is to go with evga or XFX. Both have good support, lifetime warranties, and, at least evga, has the step-up program. BFG is good too just a little pricier.

If I'm not mistaken the 8600GTS OC's like an idiot though

Edit: just looked it up no I wasn't wrong people have hit 1GHZ on air core clock, but that was with some vmodding. 780Mhz seems to be a normal OC without volt mods

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102075 This looks good comparing to 8600GTS , http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html but only dx9. Will X1950 pro OC exceed 8600gts on normal OC? I got a 350w stock PSU. is it going to work?

throw that psu out.

Get a decdent psu and a 7900GS, or a x1950pro.
