I am looking for some input on recommended upgrades for my pc.

Current Rig:
-Amd Athlon 64 X2 3800 Toledo OCed to 2.75
-2gigs DDR Crapton Ram
-MSI 7600GT
-Epox EP-9NPA7I

Looking For:
-Intel C2D
-2gig DDR2 to comply with new mobo
-New mobo to go with the intel cpu
-Looking to go for a 8800 series GPU

This will mostly be a gaming rig and my budget is probably somewhere around $500-$800 in the upcoming month or so. I was just wondering what would be some good choices for the 4 upgrades I would need?

With the 8800GTS 640MB, this setup would put you at $754.97 AFTER rebates.

New tech is just around the corner, so i wouldn't upgrade platforms just yet. Your 3800+ oc'd to 2.75ghz is pretty fast, and you already have 2 gigs of ram. I'd just get a 8800GTS 640mb and wait.

Do you think that the mobo I have would bottleneck the Graphics Card like that 8800gts?

Yes your cpu would bottleneck the videocard slightly, but not enough to fork up extra money for an entirely new system at this point in time imho.

Ok thanks for the help, I guess I will just look into buying a new GPU (8800 Series). Thanks for the replies.
