Exclamation need help!! pc wont boot.

HI i have just purchased a almost new rig.

It consists of a
Asus P5k
E2140
2gb oczr ddr2 800 speacial ops edition
7600gt
1 sata hard drive and 1 ide dvd burner
500w power box

well i put it all together and all the cables are connected properly... at least i am pretty sure that they are.

I press the power button, everything lights up. motherboard light is on, graphics card fan is spinning, cpu fan is also spinning, everything seems to be on track.

But nothing comes up on the monitor and i cannot turn the computer off by the button.... so i am at a loss do you guys have any ideas as to whats going on?

If you can't even get to BIOS double check your RAM as well.

try 1 stick of ram at a time

when I built a comp a while ago it did the same thing, I thought it was the MB, I took out 1 memory stick and it started up. I took that one out and put the other stick in and the comp didn't work.
