I hope this is the right forum.

I often see shots of desktops showing OCs, temps, benching, stability, etc....

What programs are you guys using?

No problem man, you learn something everyday. I remember wondering the same thing (a long time ago though :D ).

Just wanted to say that to capture only the active window you use ALT+PrtScn, saves you the crop-job.
 
Vista also has a built in program called Snipping Tool. It allows you to take a fullscreen shot, window shot, or a shot based on your selection (dragging a select box over the area)
