2x8600GTX SLI or 1x8800GTS?

So I am not sure which way to go. For the purpose of this question, lets assume that the price of two (2) 8600GTS 256mb is the same as a 8800GTS 320mb. Which is a better performing solution for gaming? Would the 640mb 8800GTS make a big difference in this comparison?

Wow, that was fast thanks! So even at 320mb you'd still go with the 8800? The stats on this page: http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce8.html, make it look like the 8800GTS is not as good as the 8600GTS, which is what got me concerned (clock speeds).

8800GTS is the way to go. 8600 is not really a good gaming card.

Definitely the 8800. And the amount of RAM pretty much depends on the display you have. If you will be playing at 1600x1200 or lower, the 320MB version should be fine. Any higher and you would want to go with the 640MB version.
