Backing up data

I've got a bunch (a few GBs) of files, mainly pictures and source code, which I want to back up. I'm looking for an offsite solution. Are there any free services that I can back up to online? Or I was thinking of just zip'ing all the files and uploading it to my web host (I run a couple websites, and the host gives me about 300GB more disk space than I could possibly use). I realize that I would have to manually update that back up, but besides that issue would it be a reasonable option?

If your web host gives you 300 GB of extra space, I doubt you're going to beat that. I can't imagine anyone else offering gigabytes of free storage space online.
