It was a tough choice ... all are very good

Choice depends a bit on the style of avatar you like and what you currently use.

yeah, I agree on that! it really depends on the avatar that your are using to see if it could "blend in" the team avatar w/out losing personality!

I agree pete... although I was wanting something that would be fully consistent for everyone, since everyone wants to maintain their "identity"... then possibly we can have a few T32 approved avatars.

Gary's & Thideras's approach is basically the same... and so is mine and Varnel's. The "text overlay" and the "border template". Members could choose whichever fits their needs.

I'm just making my case here... LS has made the most traction to this point with users adopting his avatar design... and of course I'm partial to mine.

I refuse to vote at all since I apparently have a submission in the running. I didn't get the chance to do a better version then that "sketch" that has been used (never enough time in the day).

I like the idea of multiple "approved" versions of the folding team's avatar template. As has been pointed out, some will work better with certain avatars then others. But then again, uniformity has that whole "team appeal." In the end, not my decision to make (however getting me to change mine might be a bit difficult, I've always been very non-conformist).

I like the border around my cap't Morgan Avatar. I like the fact that you can keep your personal avatar and still show pride in T32. But Kate Beckensale... mmmmmmm thats a hard choice.

Harlam357,
Can you PM me that new avatar? I'd like to run that one. I might also redo the wording as you can hardly read it. Now that it says T32 on the side i might remove some if it all together.

nice work!

Only one of the candidates mentions that OC Forums is Team 32. We all know we're on Team 32 and that OC Forums is really overclockers.com folding team. But, if you were to use the avatar on another site, it won't really be an ad pointing people here. At least OC Forums is near the top on a google search. I'd hate to have people joining OCAU because they thought our Avatar was cool. Currently my vote is for none of the above.

That was one of the things that was bothering me when I was doing the "sketch" above. It felt more natural to want to say "Team 32" rather then "Folding Team", which was the conversation of the thread at the time. However my instinct was to have the "OC Forums" logo, and "Team 32" (only) still would have left something to be desired, as people on other forums wouldn't understand that it was for folding. (Maybe we have monthly popularity contests or something.)

At least if someone did decide to join team 32 based on one of these avatars that don't divulge the team number, they would at least know where to go looking for help!
