Exclamation G5 Or MX518?

Which mouse should I get? They're both almost exactly the same price? Is one better than the other?

Spec wise, the G5 is a better mouse. You will probably be happy with either of them though.

They're the exact same shape. I'd get the 518, it has one extra button that you can use. The reason the orange G5 is so cheap is because it's the Rev 1and logitech has a Rev 2 of the mouse out. The G5V2 is blue, has the tilt wheel, AND it has the pair of thumb buttons.

The 518 is a bit lighter than either G5s though. I've used all three, the 518 is still my favourite.

I got the 518 because it has a forward button.

I prefered the MX518 until the G5 came out with revision 2 with the 2nd thumb button like the MX518 has....

So the bottom line is that they are both a good choice, if you decide on the G5, make sure it's rev 2 if you prefer two rather than one thumb button.

PS, I was trying out a G9 and it's not half bad, but surely not worth $90+
