First OC!

Well, as many of you know, i just build my rig last night.

I started tweaking it, and have some results.

Currently at:
Idle:35c (Core1/Core2)
Load:49c(Core1/Core2)

CPU:3.6GHz 1.46v (1.35 stock)
RAM: 540 MHz (DDR2 = 1080MHz) 2.2v 5-5-5-18

I'll post pics when im done for the night (Going for 3.8GHz)

Those temps are load, but I'm having an issue were my readings are 15c off. So add 15c to them

Forget about reading/getting the actual or absolute temp, cause no body on this earth know about out it, and even Intel doesn't care about it, unless you're going to drill a groove at your CPU's IHS like this HERE (last pic), which I doubt bout it.

Just maintain the minimal 20, or if you don't feel comfortable then 30 degrees to Tjunction "while loaded", and that is very safe for your CPU even at 24/7.

Well, its unstable at 3.4 .. 3.2 its fine ...

Im not sure whats causing it to become unstable .. temps are fine ..

Although, right after i posted a little while ago, p94 failed, and my temps were really high ...idle .. like it was still under load .. so i bumped it down to 3.2 .. and its stable now ..

Try bumping up the MCH voltage. More voltage to the NB should do the trick, assuming that you do have good airflow in your case.

MCH is your north bridge. Great first oc just keep testing for stability at each increase.

Lookin real good man! Although I am slightly disappointed by those load temps. hopefully you can get to 3.6ghz with the same temps

What kind of fan are you using on the u120x? Is it facing the rear of the case? How many total case fans? pics of system?

MCH is the north bridge. In bios, it will say "MCH Voltage" and on the right, in the little info box, it will say it is the voltage for the northbridge. Change it to 1.35 or 1.37. That should fix your stability problems up to 3.4. If you want 3.6, bump it up to 1.39 or 1.41.

What do you mean disappointed?

I'm at 3.6GHz now:

Idle: 37c
Load:50c

Stability issues atm, voltage needs tweaking .. atm:

vcore:1.46v
vdimm:2.2v

About to tweak the NB voltage now.

Just uped the NB voltage to 1.37v

Running p95.

My case has okay ventilation .. may not be the best atm (crammed into a corner) but .. for the most part its not bad ..

Temps went up a but after that voltage bump ..

Idle: 37c
Load:55c

EDIT: I could drop the vcore a bit ... i dont think it needs to be this high for 3.6 ...

You should be able to drop the VCore to 1.40V. The G0 E6750's can clock really well on stock voltage(or close to it).

VDimm, highest you should go is 2.2V unless you plan on running 1100+ speed on the memory.

At this moment, I'd say set the divider for 1:1 till you can get it stable, then bump the divider up a bit.

play with the NB and SB voltages a bit till you can get it stable, I think.

I thought i did lol.

Yea, the 120mm on the HSF is facing the 120mm exhaust fan.
Theres a 80mm fan above the 120mm that is also exhaust, and theres a 80mm fan at the top of the case that is exhaust too. On the bottom front theres a 120mm intake.

Very good. I looked at the 1.9V SB Voltage in the pm you sent me. I was wondering why that computer was still operating. :P

1.19V sounds alot better.
