ATI Crossfire X

LOGOs :

They say performance would be...

1 GPU = 1 x performance
2 GPU = 1.8x performance
3 GPU = 2.6x performance
4 GPU = 3.(?)x performance, probably 3.4X if you do the math.

I guess I should update the crossfire sticky pretty soon... once I get a bit more information.

Meh. I'd like to see them prove 1.8 performance. Looks like a bunch of malarkey. I just sent back 2 hd2900pros. Linked them in crossfire (7.10 driver) on a p5wdh and was disgusted with the lack of performance most of my games actually performed worse. IMHO they better figure out how to make 1 card work well first or find something else to do.

I've seen CrossFire achieve over 1.9x performance with dual video cards back when I played with X1900XT/X1900CF; quite impressive in my opinion.
Dual 2900's requires an extremely powerful processor to take advantage of two.
If you're getting lower performance, it's the same deal with SLI... it's simply not working.
