speedtest.net

try that and post your results.

I was paying for the 8 down/768 up connection from comcast, and i was getting maybe 3 down and the 768 up. My modem was a few years old, and i went out and replaced it with the new surfboard, and my connection went up to 10 down and 1.5 up.

What kind of router do you have? Have you tried doing the speedtest directly from the modem to your pc?

And are you in a congested area?
