What to do when the O.S. drivers aren't made for your mobo?

I tried Vista, but there is a problem. My motherboard manufacturer hasn't made Vista drivers for supporting the O.S. No sound, no internet, plus a bunch of other unidentified problems with devices.

So, basically this board came out just a little while before Vista, maybe not before Vista beta and yet I can't use Vista on it.
What a drag.

Well, that is, unless there's an idea to resolve it.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd like to read them.

Thanks for the links. I will try them and see if they relieve problems identifying other devices.
