Hello everyone, i'm looking for a PSU to run my DAW q6600 (planning to overclock to 3.4 hz), 2 sata hard drives, 1 sata dvd burner, XFX PVT86SWAHG GeForce 8400GS card, 5 120 mm fans, 2 pci cards. I can only afford 70 dollars, after MIR deals. I have been looking/reading over 2 days and i can't decide on which ones. too many choices. Before i am going for one, i'm thinking to ask for someone help on this board. if you bought one and it's been a good choice, please recommend.

thank you all in advance for your help.

good deal?

I am going to be running the Antec Earthwatts 430w myself but I am not going to be running a quadcore or more than one hard drive. The 500w is a solid choice

For a sizeable overclock like that I would recommend you only go with a high-quality single 12v rail psu. Corsair HX series (as a bonus the corsairs are modular, which makes cable management much easier), or PC Power and Cooling are what I consider to be the best (and use). It's not worth buying a $300 chip to overclock, then try to save $50 when it comes to your PSU.

That Corsair will give you everything the 500 Earthwatts will give you plus better quality, single 12v rail 33 amp, lower price, free shipping, no tax from ZZF.

I'm glad I got that Earthwatts now lol Seasonic ftw

Back on topic. Seeming how that 450w Corsair is a Seasonic build, that would be another good choice.

The Earthwatts is about as low end as Seasonic gets... while they're not bad, they don't compete against anything from Corsair.
