Need a new vid card for Crysis! Help!

SO..what's good on the market right now? I haven't been reading up with the video cards..I'm not planning to spend over $250 or $300..I hope I can get a GOOD card at this price.

Here's my system:

e6600
2gb ram
x850xt PE

everything is at stock. I want a best bang for the buck card if anyone got any suggestions for me. I am willing to OC too..I dont plan on buying a new power supply though (I hope I don't have to)

I am assuming you have a PCI express board. How about one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...557&name=512MB

Prices may drop closer to Xmass, who knows. My X850 will run Crysis ok. Low to Medium settings though.

Best bang for buck cards atm, mostly due to the beautiful thing called economics, would be ATI's 3850 or 3870 cards.

Link to a 3870

Hope this helps!

250-300 gives you plenty of room to buy a decent card...Id say the 8800 GT is probably top of the list. Since you specified Crysis I will tell you that over clocking that 6600 will pay some handsome benefits as Crysis is GPU and CPU limited....the producers stated in several reviews that Crysis will run best on a Quad CPU...

Well, newegg seems to have raised their prices on the 3870s, so atm I would recommend the 8800GT.
