I installed 64bit ubuntu to fold on my quadcore machine. The only problem is that ubuntu has some sort of speed stepping (it is disabled in the bios, i checked) that keeps it running at 66% (2.4ghz), opposed to the actual current clock of 3.6, unless I open a few programs at once. any trick to make it go to 100%?

I just found an answer to my own problem
cpufreq-selector -f 3600000
runs it at 3.6ghz
