does it make any difference if i have 2 one gigs or 1 two gig?

thx for helping, i looked at some of the other treads and couldn't find an answer

With 2 sticks you can put them in dual channel, obviously with 1 you can't.

Yes with dual channel you will gain a slight performance increase overall depending on the application in hand. You can always do 2 x 2GB for easy 4GB dual channel goodness.
