its on sale for 434.99
u can make it as low as 424.99 if ur a first time google check out customer.

anyway, i was on the fence about the 8800gt and hd3870

but with my resolution im guessing i need the gtx or card with high memory.

so basically im asking if this is a no brainer, buy it now deal or wait for the g92 gts, but that only has 512 not 640 ram... but will be 300-399?

ah... cant decide
xfx has it for 439.99 but its 1yr warranty limited, pny is 3 years.

What resolution do you play at? I think that will dictate your decision here.

Better go with the 8800 GTX if you are looking to run full 1080.

the power the gtx has is sick.. especially once you start crankin up the nvidia cp options. cod4 8xaa 16xaf, triple buffering, maximum in game settings and still hold a solid 50-60 fps at 1680x1050 dureing some tense mp action it doesnt get the highest 3dmarks anymore, but its still a beast

Should I get an 8800gtx for $400 now... Or I can wait 1-2 months and get one of the newer cards. what to do???

I will be running a 19'' widescrean... resolution of 1450 x 900 or something...

At that resolution an 8800gtx will be wasted. You could settle for an 8800GT unless you plan to upgrade to a display that supports 1920x1200 or higher.

well i guess i waited too long damn. 439... sold out.
seeing that the gtx is about the same as the new g92 gts...
but i figured the extra memory would be nicer for little more money..
gts is suggested at 349..
