Hello Everyone,

I'm about to upgrade my setup from OCUK and was wondering if I could get
some advice here.

I'm already running a 19" widescreen monitor but want to get one of these
Dell 24" monitors as well:

My video card at the moment is a £50 piece of crap so I need to upgrade that as well.

I'm looking to spend £120 - £200 on a card depending on if an expensive (near £200)
card is required for running the two aforementioned monitors.

I see in the news they have new stock in of 8800GT cards, which sound a good idea
i'm just stuck on choosing the manufacturer.

My setup is a:

Core2Duo processor
Asus Motherboard (P5LD2)
2Gb of ram

Thanks,
Alex

P.S: Also in my current setup I don't have any cooling, there's just the CPU
fan going - What do I need? Should it be a whole case cooler, or just a graphics
cooler?

you should try to get some case fans to help get cool air into your case, could help

an 880GT sounds like the right choice for you :)

Hey,

Cheers mate.

I have a fairly cheapo case where do the fans fit on?

Also which of the 8800's on that page would you go for?

Thanks,
Alex

Would one of these do? Or do I need two?

And I have no places on the case sides for a fan to be attached, do they go elsewhere

Thanks for the reply dragon,

Just checked in case, (no brand I believe) and there are two spaces for fans, I got a ruler and measured 120mm from screw hole to screw hold diagonally.

Does this mean I can get 120mm fans? And if so do I require a bracket too?

If so, if one of you guys could pick one from here, and the relevent bracket that'd be excellent:

Hey All,

I think I'm going to go for:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-053-BG
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-033-AK

Can you quickly let me know all is fine and I'm making a smart move :D

Alex

P.S: One other thing actually, I need a DVI cable as I already have a VGA for the second monitor. Though where are the DVI cables and which would people recommend:

Also the video card says:

- Dual dual-link DVI supports two 2560 x 1600 resolution displays

So can buy two of the following and it will work:

Amazon.co.uk: Belkin DVI-Digital to DVI-Digital, Single Link Cable: Electronics & Photo: Belkin

Or I found another cable which is a Belkin "Dual Link" cable, do I need that? And if so do I need one or two?
