I realise that raid0 would give an advantage in certain situations, but what about cache mem....is it better to have two 500g drives with 16mb cache or one 1tb drive with 32mb cache? Right now two 500gx16 drives are a lot cheaper than a single 1TBx32 drive.....and seek time is 8.9 on the 500g and the seek on the Tb is 8.5

Basicly I want a terabyte system, but I hate loading times, so anything to speed it up, I all for it.
Thanks for reading this,
Any thoughts?

I don't think the extra 16MB of cache will have as much benefit to the system overall as the better STR of a RAID0 setup, but since you're looking just for load time improvement, I'd go with the single drive.
