how do you think it will run it at 1280*1024? With medium-high details with no aa or af.

I run all high no AA AF with my x1950pro 512mb and my e6300 at 3ghz+. Gives me a pretty solid 60-90fps, sometimes drops to ~50fps.

You can run all high at that res, and probably with AA too. The 3850 really is only limited by res above 1280 and of course, Crysis. Or anything that could potentially have a huge amount of texture size, which is usually attributed to larger resolutions more than anything.
