My stuff got here today!

Man this is one smoking upgrade. My 06 CPU score went up 1200 points, and I havn't even started overclocking it yet!

I'll post more in this topic once I get down to the hard stuff, but I just wanted to thank everyone for their help and suggestions.

I will say this, I was surprized that the Processor didn't come with a heatsink/fan but I already had a better one so no big deal there. The Motherboard was the bigger suprize. Much nicer than I thought it was going to be, a ton of OC settings, and it looks quite nice too.

Now I just have to figure out what kind of case I want it all in Lol.

And your new CPU would be a 5000+?

What else did you toss in?

5000+ BE
Biostar T520 A2+ motherboard
Thermaltake 430 Watt PS

To go along with

3 gigs of PNY 5300 memory (2 1-gig sticks, 2 512-meg sticks)
Thermaltake Blue Orb 2
BFG Geforce 8600 GTS (will be replaced for a 3850 or 3870 in time)
300 Gig HD (Baracuda)
NEC DVD Burner

That pretty much rounds out the system.

Ok, this is the story.

I went from this

Athlon 64 3200+ OCed to 2.4 Ghz
Biostar NF4UL-A9 (the one with the XGA port)
BFG 8600 GTS
1.5 Gigs of Ram
80 Gig HD
DVD Burner

to this

AM2 5000+ BE
Biostar 520 A2+
BFG 8600 GTS
3 Gigs of ram
320 Gig Seagate Baracudda
Dvd Burner

I've managed to get the BE up to 3.2 GHZ stable in Orthos/Prime/3d03 with the memory running at 333 Mhz and T1 timing.

Prime 95 is at 8.526 and my 3d03 score is 18890.

My CPU score in 3d06 is now 2419, an amazing jump (for me anyways) from the 724 that I got with the 3200+.

Total upgrade cost was about $250 for the MB, Proc, and Ram. Everything else was either donated or I already had it.

My 3d06 score was 6206, with a SM2 score of 2629, a SM3 score of 2361, and a CPU score of 2412. Thats off of a run I just did. The Vid card is now definatly holding me back, it's not a very good OC'er. I only managed to get it to go up to a core of 745 and a Mem of 1062. The defaults on it were 710 and 1010. Still, every little bit helps I guess.

I think I've pretty much hit this Proc's wall on this MB at 3.2. I can get it to go into windows at 3.4 but not stable in Orthos at that, no matter how much voltage I threw at it. According to CPUZ my voltage right now is at 1.4. The highest I bumped it at 3.4 was 1.45, I wasn't sure how much juice I could safely give it and I didn't feel comfortable going any higher than that. Temp wise I seem to be just fine, with 1 core at 32 and the other at 26 at idle.

Do any of you guys think it would be safe to throw more volatge at it, maybe upping it to 1.475 to see if I can get it stable at 3.4? I don't think it would be worth it myself. Also, I noticed that most people who OC through the multiplier like I'm doing don't OC the FSB at all. Why is that, are the systems just not able to be OC and stable when both areas are OCed?
