I want to buy one of these Dell Skinit's for my laptop lid and I want an awesome Crysis one....but I have no photoshop skills. I need it high resolution because I don't want the lid to be fuzzy...Problem is that I can't find the style I want!

This is what I want...

^ I made this myself....but its only 800x600...I really need it bigger...but I don't know if thats possible. The image in the middle is bigger

You can see what I did here:

The inner image is big enough, its that border which I REALLY like...but its not big enough.

Can anybody here work some magic for me please? :) I'd have huge appreciation and maybe a reward too!

Thanks, ps2cho

:p what size do you need lol

I'm not 100% sure you see....It would need to be a widescreen one because its a 15.4" laptop....so maybe 1680x1050 ?....I think that should be ok shouldn't it?

If you can let me know what kind of inch dimensions I'm trying to work around I can pick an the correct ratio to work with. It's best if you source image doesn't come with a bunch of watermarks that you have to cover up or work around. And it's especially nice if the source image is insanely large.

Like this one: http://www.freewebs.com/rsplayerkillers/00014.jpg

Just let me know what ratio you want or a specific pixel dimensions are required. Better still would be if you could measure the lid of your laptop.

Tonight I can work up whatever you want me to in whatever resolution is needed. So long as the base image for the background is a decent size to start with. Border and logos are easy to remake in larger sizes.

Dude! This is awesome. I just made a really cool(IMO) skin for my wifes Inspiron. This will be a perfect "thoughtful" gift :)

I was thinking about one for my girlfriend too...but then I have already spent enough for her...

Gotta save ideas for other special dates!

Shes getting this for our end of January holiday. We only give each other a couple gifts for XMas, then go all out at the end of Jan.

I finished redrawing the border and logo for 4000x3000 with a transparent fade. Here's a resized preview of just the logo.

I can add an ice texture if needed.

And here's the finished image.

OH my god man that is SO SICK!

Could I ask one more thing? Could you photoshop that Crytek logo anywhere in the bottom border? With that there, it would be amazing and that would be on the lid! You could even add your own little watermark at the bottom if you want too ;) Ya know artists signature

Great job man....I wish I had photoshop skills!

excelent work captain slug! maybe you can help me with a logo sometime :) lol

I just ordered the skin with your logo :) It looks like it will take a good 2-3 weeks to get to me, but I can't wait :)

Well looks like I made the image upside down on their generator haha. Oh well I'm not too bothered.
Quality is great (So the resolution was perfect) and its very smooth. Feels like it will keep my lid dent free and looking cool at the same time.

Very happy! Thanks again Captain Slug! :)

Looks good.
That's the orientation I was thinking you wanted. That way the image isn't upside-down when the screen is up.

Hehe, it kind of look is like the guy getting thrown in the picture is holding a giant Dell shield.
