wireless networks. why-o-why cant they be easy for a novice!

hoping you guys can help me out with connection problems i have (pretty please)

hardware.

netgear DG834Gv3 and USB adapter WG111v2

in our old house this system worked fine and connected automatically from the first install. since we have moved, the adapter connects to the router but wont give internet access. currently we have 2 pcs wired to the router and it works fine.

i guess its something to do with ips or macs or something but ive not much experience with this so cant get it working

thanks for ur help
