E6600 made in costa Rica from Newegg


Hello,

Just received a new E6600 from NewEgg that was made in Costa Rica, Batch # 3736B141 pack date 9-28-07, unfortunately I wont be able to put my system together for another week, anyone run one of these?

(I plan on OCing) ABIT IP35 Pro 775, 1Gx2|CORSAIR TWINX2048-3200C2PT, ARCTIC P4|ACFZ7-PRO, EVGA 512-P3-N802-A1 8800GT 512M, Antec Sonata III

I don't think where its made really means much as far as overclocking. I think the biggest difference is what revision it is, the G0s tend to overclock the best.

AFIAK the e6600 is only available in the B stepping. the G stepping went to the 1333 FSB chips and the quads.

i have a B2 that i would 3D bench @ 3950MHz on AIR. the e6600 is a good solid chip.

i have an E6600 with a box date of 08/11/06 (its an oldie! )

With a batch number of L627A795... I have gotten the lil sucker 4ghz suicide stable nuf to do multiple runs of super pi 1m... take a cpuz screenie... validate cpuz, then post up on ocforms in the 4ghz club. all at 4ghz... ON AIR! i love my e6600!
