Installing Intel CPU

Hey guys,
I am a complete noob so please forgive me. I did a search and nothing came up.
How do u install a 775 Intel Duo Core Duo processor? I saw in the diagram u place it in the location and pull the lever to secure it. Is it that easy or is there more to it???
I dont wanna wreck a $200 chip, it seems so fragile.

cheers
