Accelero S1, 8800GT and Mosfet cooling

Hi guys,

I have a 8800GT(well it's not back yet) with an accelero S1, I used the heatsinks that came with it and swapped the original adhesive out for some sekisui #5760, that works well, sticks great, but now I want to cool the Mosfets too, to get a higher and more stable oc, and to keep me on the safe side

so would this fit underneath the Accelero S1?

the name is :

Akasa AK-VMC01-BK VGA RAM Sink

the pic that belongs to it is this

After a quick look at the Accelero S1's height restrictions, it looks like you will need something that is less than 14mm (including the height of the component you are putting it on).

alright then, this is the specs,

13 x 13 x 4mm

so it should be no problem I think

I'm not familiar with the component heights on the 8800GT, so as long as the height of the MOSFETs are less than 10mm you should have plenty of room.

You were running with no mosfet cooling? Was this with the Accelero running passively?

accelero was running actively, but I only had ramsinks on the ram, nothing on the mosfets

I ordered them, if it fits, then woohoo , if not, then i'm gonna use them on my 7900GS

WOW, yeah, you definitely want to have some kind of a heatsink on those!

I measured the temps on the MOSFETS and they were fine with a 80mm on them.

I am cheap though, so go ahead if you want them.

Got them today, haven't used them yet, but it looks like they will clear the Accelero by miles!
