like the title says, ive always wanted to create my own custom bootable system restore disc, just like you get from retail manufacturers. except with what i want on it, not a bunch of crapware. just a fresh windows install, with drivers and a few software packages already loaded.

1. is it feasible?

2. is it reasonably inexpensive to do so? and

3. what applications would i need to create such a thing.

what would really be amazing if there was a program in which you could just pick all the drivers you needed, type in all your cd keys and the program would create the install file to burn on a dvd/cd

You could probably slipstream a Windows installation to also install some extra stuff.

Easier would probably get a drive imaging program, make an image of the default setup you like, and slap it back in whenever.
