How long does it usually take for Intel to bring out new Revisions for their chips?

I know the Conroe's weren't initally GO, how long did it take for that to come out after they were released?

Any other information about stepping / revisions is appreciated, I just want to learn more about it.

roughly 6-8 months, since E6300/E6400 were B2's then switched to L2's when the E4300's came out.. at that rate though we might not see one from intel, if they completely drop LGA775 when socket B comes out in Q4-08. simply cause amd doesnt give intel a big reason now to up clock speeds. given that ocing the current 45nm get to 3.6ghz on stock voltage. intel has some head room before ever needing to update the stepping for more speed,

New stepping's are for more than just speed tho. They make minor changes all over the chip sometimes, for power efficiency, errata problems, optimizations , etc..
