i didnt lower the multiplier i just raised fsb and lowered my memory from 533 to 400. it runs around 490 now. but for the oc part, i get these random black screens. what does this mean? and is this cool for basically stock cooling. only thing im using is a zalman 9500 that black with a green light and the stock fans in a thermaltake armor :D someone tell me if im doing this wrong because i dont wanna fry anything lol.

random black screen could be a a few things but probably the system is out of stability range.

and also watch the temps on your cores not just the CPU. are u OCing the GPU too? i see u have something running.

run prime95 or something like that to make sure the OC is stable.

really really read this before u do any more. we all dont want u to mess ur puter up. and it should help u get a better clock!

next u can watch the temps on ur cores with this

my cores ALWAYS run warmer under load then the cpu does. right now just siting here my CPU is running at 28C and my cores are at 23C and 25C. under load for the most part my cores will hit 40C-43C and the CPU is under that. I am also running water. and water kills air.

orthos is a great program to make sure that your OC is stable. u should run this for 24 hours when u think that u have a good OC that your happy with. its also good for seeing how high your temps go when under full load. i found on air it takes around 4-5 mins to have a good idea what full load temps are going to be. note thats just a idea. it will also give u a idea if your OC is stable or not. i can OC my CPU and it will pass for 5 mins but not a 25 mins. thats not stable. have fun
